Berkman is scheduled to have arthroscopic surgery on his left knee on Saturday. No timetable for his return ( possible 2-4 weeks) but be aware that this is the same knee he has had problems with in the past. Berkman will be examined on Friday by the Astros Medical Director. He sprained his knee about 10 days ago and according to reports has had his knee drained twice since then. This could be nothing but it also could be something. Twice in such a short period of time raises a red flag and until we hear what the Doctor says, proceed with caution.
