Cueto Not Sharp In Spring Finale

Reds SP Johnny Cueto only threw 4 innings today as he battled back stiffness. “When I threw in the bullpen, my back was a little tight,” Cueto said. He gave up 10 hits and five runs and he hit two batters and walked another. He struck out six, including the last two batters he faced.

Analysis:

Cueto struggled in 2009 partly because of injuries, so back stiffness doesn’t help his case. Consider him a #6 SP i mixed leagues.
