Lyon Has Cyst Removed

Brandon Lyon had a cyst surgically removed from his shoulder. His spring throwing program will be delayed a little bit but he should definitely be ready for opening day.

Analysis:

Lyon has a slight advantage on Matt Lindstrom for the closer role. As long as he can get on the mound in March he should be able to win that job but the situation is worth monitoring.
