Mauer Leaves Game With Injury

Twins catcher and defending AL-MVP, Joe Mauer, fouled a ball off his shoulder in the third inning of yesterday’s Spring Training game against the Orioles. Mauer will also be held out of today’s game as a precaution.

Analysis:

This doesn’t sound like anything serious. Mauer owners are obviously worried but this sounds like standard Spring Training precautions.
