Sometimes when it comes to injuries you just have to wait and see. On Thursday Jose Reyes was held out of the Mets game because of lab tests that needed to be done as part of his physical or so said the Mets. Friday morning it was announced that he would miss today’s game. Shortly after that the team announce that he was suffering from an overactive thyroid and would be returning to New York to see a specialist on Monday. Doctors have been quoted as saying that it is not serious and very treatable and he should have no long term issues. At worst he should only miss a month but on the fantasy front this should affect his value and be aware of this when drafting.
